This six-bedroom property, inspired by Georgian architecture, was built in traditional brick with stone detailing. It included a large garage with annexe above, linked to the main house via a frameless glazed gallery. To facilitate the build, the existing dwelling was first demolished. The environmentally conscious client specified air source heat pumps, solar thermal panels, and a mechanical ventilation and heat recovery system, all of which were integrated into the project.
A grand portico porch leads to a spacious entrance hall featuring a bespoke oak staircase with continuous handrail and a chandelier. The rear elevation incorporates large glazed sections and level threshold doors, creating seamless connections to the extensive garden while maximising natural light. Boundary walls were designed with specialist structural details to protect existing plants and trees, and the project was delivered in partnership with Base Architects.
