Construction Apprenticeships
Year One

The first year is spent shadowing and assisting in all site trades through a structured programme, which provides experience across every aspect of construction before a trade is chosen as a career.

Year Two

The second year is when a trade is selected and formal college training begins. College is attended one day per week, with the remainder of the time spent on site alongside Shingler Construction’s trade professionals.

Year Three

College continues along the same lines as Year Two but concludes with a comprehensive End Point Assessment. Both theoretical and practical tests must be passed for the final college certificate to be awarded.

Year Four

The final year begins with a decision on whether advanced craft qualifications will be pursued. Site experience then continues, with increasing responsibility taken under individual initiative and supervision.
